8 Days From Tangier to Marrakech through the desert

Day 1: Port of Tangier – Chefchaouen

We will pick you up from the port and then we will start our journey through Tetouan and the spectacular Rif mountains. We will arrive at Chefchaouen, a place very well located under the Rif mountain peaks. Chefchaouen is one of the most beautiful villages in Morocco, an artistic and blue mountain village. The old medina has an Andalusian influence with red-tiled roofs, bright blue buildings, and narrow streets that converge on the bustling square and its restored kasbah. Here you can spend a night in a nice accommodation with a panoramic view that will allow you to enjoy the peace and beauty of nature.

Day 2: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After your breakfast in the Riad, our trip continues towards the Volubilis site that crosses Ouzzane and other Rif villages, in Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and we will know the archaeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit of the ruins, we will change our way to the 17th century heritage city of Meknes, where we will stop for lunch and pass by the massive historic walls of the medina, Bab el Mansour, and enjoy a visit to the sanctuary of Moulay Ismail. After visiting Meknes, we will go directly to the city of Fez, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Guided sightseeing tour of Fes

After breakfast in your Riad, you will start to explore the oldest city in Morocco, strolling through its small streets and alleys. Our tour begins with a visit to the Porte de Palais Royal, the Jewish quarter, the first Mellah built in Morocco, built in the 16th century. You will visit all the sites of historical and cultural interest, including the famous Qaraouine university, the oldest in Morocco, the Attarine museum and the Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch you will visit the cooperative mosaics. Then discover a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Fez medina.

Day 4: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz avalley – Erfoud – Merzouga – Camel ride and accommodation in the camp

After breakfast at your hotel, you will travel through the cedar forest in Azrou, enjoy a photo stop to see the monkeys in the wild. then we continue our journey towards the desert we cross the mountain of Moyen Alas towards Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the berber hospitality. Then we will pass through Erfoud and Rissani to arrive at Merzouga in the afternoon. You will be greeted with a glass of mint tea before starting your camel ride. You admire the sunset in the dunes. Dinner will be served around a bivouac campfire with a Gnawa music show. Night in nomad tents.

Day 5: Merzouga – Dades Gorges – Toudgha Valley

We will get up early to watch the spectacle of sunrise over the Sahara dunes before riding the camel back to the hotel for breakfast and shower. Then we continue to Rissani and Alnif, then we will move on to Todra Gorges where we will take a walk, after lunch we will see the Jewish Quarter in Tinghir. Then we continue to the Dades Gorges. Dinner and overnight with the locals.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Valley of the Roses – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountain – Marrakech

After breakfast, you will cross the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Visiting the Dades Valley is the Route of the Thousand Kasbahs, which offers many opportunities to take beautiful photos of the trip. The largest kasbah in Morocco “Ait Ben haddou”, one of the UNESCO heritage. Then we will cross the High Atlas Mountains with a panoramic view of the Berber villages. Arrival in Marrakech and accommodation in a beautiful Riad in the medina.

Day 7: Guided tour of Marrakech

After breakfast at the Riad, you can start exploring Marrakech, “the red city of Morocco”. visit the historical and cultural sites including Majorelle Gardens, Koutoubia Tower, Saadi Tombs, Bahia Palace. After lunch in a restaurant near the square, then you go for a walk in the souks. Dinner and accommodation in your Riad.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport

After your breakfast, we will transfer you to the Menara airport in Marrakech.
